[So Trip's gotten off lucky. He didn't get sacrificed, he didn't turn into a Death Knight, and he didn't catch the ebola virus. Considering his usual track record? This means he's due for a disaster. Not that he's going to try and tempt fate or anything.]

It's been one heck of a first couple days here. Anythin' else comin' up I should start getting ready for, or are we finally getting that week of downtime everyone's been talkin' about?

Nothing really. Hanging out with my Inmate a lot. [Read: BROODING... about everything]

How's that been goin'? [DON'T BROOD, Captains are unfun when they brood. Does Trip need to find some water polo for you to watch? 8|]

About the same as it's been since we were paired together a year and a half ago. It's all a work in progress.

That's... interesting. Are any of these inmates actually interested in redeemin' themselves? I mean, it's not like I mind the challenge, but a year and a half seems like a long time to not make a ton of progress. No offense.

I think every Inmate is different. But if you mean will they automatically be open to what you have to say? No. Just the same as you wouldn't like it if someone came along and told you that you were doing something wrong. And it's going to take time to come to make any progress.

Believe me, I get that. I'm just startin' ta wonder what I got myself into.

It's not as intimidating as you might think. They're going to fight and you're not going to see eye to eye on everything. Don't be afraid to show your authority if the situation really calls for it.

I'm more concerned with findin' a way to get through to him. You ever read comics as a kid?

Wade Wilson. He's a mercenary, calls himself Deadpool. His... shtick was breakin' the fourth wall and being really chatty.

I was more of a DC fan personally, but I know enough to know this is gonna be one hell of an uphill fight. He's got potential to be good, gettin' him ta stick with it's a little more complicated.

I hear you on that. Shego used to be a superhero and then decided she wanted to actually commit the crimes because it was easier.
