[Trip hasn't necessarily been avoiding Felix since they got back from port, but he's certainly giving him space, which is why he's been careful to avoid hanging around the engine room while he's scheduled to be there. Apart from that, though, doing some work down there on trying to figure out how exactly this ship ran and what they could to to keep it running was a pretty good distraction from feeling like he'd made the biggest mistake of his life agreeing to come here.

So he's become a relatively common sight entering and leaving the engine room, occasionally covered in grease or grime or dust, and he works quietly if anyone else isn't interested in conversation, or engages more or less enthusiastically if the rest of the staff's willing not to be intolerable to talk with.]

[He has no inmate yet, so most of the time he wanders the ship and watches people. But engines have always had a special place in his heart, half the reason for his moniker, so he gravitates to the engine room at the end of the day.]

[It's a dull day in the engine room, and Sandoval's leaning on the console with a blasé expression and he's tapping an omni-tool (a pen with a glowing tip) against the counter as he watches a scrolling read-out.

He glances over at Trip when he comes in. Then back to the read-out.]

Enjoy the downtime. You're going to have plenty.

[Spock usually avoids going out into the corridor at certain hours, due to the music from down the hall. However, it has been a few days since he adhered to his usual routine of walking up and down the Barge, and it's during this that he runs into Trip.]

Mr. Tucker. [A slight nod. Spock has met so few humans who are... nice to him, which is why he adds-] Are you well?

[Felix has most definitely been avoiding Trip since they got back; then again, he's been avoiding nearly everyone, except the people he works with and the ones who just won't frakking let him. Maybe Trip especially, though. Trip, who was there with Dee, who saw more than anyone, and although Felix knows he can't lie to himself anymore he also can't really face any of it. He certainly can't imagine Trip wants to deal with him, after all that, and he's not surprised when he doesn't hear from his warden for a while.

But he knows Dean told him what happened, so he's not surprised, either, when he gets the message. He shakes his head, subdued.]

I'm fine. He didn't touch me.
