Commander Charles Tucker III

[The video clicks on to show a familiar face and a familiar cabin! Trip's wearing his usual blue Enterprise uniform, with red stripes on the shoulders and three rank pins, which put him at Commander for anyone familiar with Starfleet from the 2150's.

He smiles, friendly and looking somewhere between relaxed and kind of eager to just jump right into this thing, which is why he gets right to the point.]

This is Commander Charles Tucker the Third. Most people call me Trip. [Seriously, he will not respond to Charles, go with Trip. B(] The Admiral's asked me to work here as a warden, and when I'm not doing that, I'm the Chief Engineer on board the starship Enterprise.

I've tried to do some catching up on the network, [And he might be planning on ripping apart his comm later, just to see how this works.] but if there's anything people wanna offer as advice or stuff to stay away from, lemme know. No offense to anyone, but the Admiral kinda needs to work on his welcome packet.

And I don't wanna step on any toes or anything, but considering I've spent the last three plus years doing this kinda thing basically every day, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to help out with the engines on board. I'm also pretty handy with anything else you need taking apart or putting back together.

[And once again, TO BUSINESS. Does everyone get assigned an inmate right off the bat?] Felix? You got anywhere in particular you want to meet up and chat?

[The first several seconds of transmission are pretty badly garbled with static, and maybe the occasional word that sounds sort of like Trip trying to rip apart his communicator to figure out what the hell's going on. Because that is prettyyyy much what he's doing.]

- something's wrong with the communicators, wish I knew how the damn thing - [And more static, and eventually there's something that sounds sort of like Trip's resorted to smacking the journal against something. The feed finally clears up enough to be understood, but there's still the occasional squawk of static.]

Does anyone know how this stuff'd start messin' around with the communicators? I've seen a lotta stuff in my time, but I've gotta admit, my only experience with actual ghosts and stuff's either been here or in movies.

Anyway. To any new arrivals, I'm Commander Charles Tucker the Third, Chief Engineer on board the starship Enterprise. That's the NX-01, the original one, not the one Kirk, McCoy and Spock are from. Call me Trip. I'm one of the wardens in charge of the engine room and the head of maintenance and repair. If anyone wants to lend a hand or somethin' in either department, lemme or Tosh know.

[Fail!Private to Tosh, actually sent to Capa]

You been able to get in the engine room?

[Private to Rex]

Assumin' we can get into the lab, you wanna do some work on the robot arm project when you've got time?

[Fail!Private to Moriarty, actually PUBLIC]

I've been thinkin' we should do some - [And more static, and feed cut.]

[And later, Private to Kay]

I need a goddam drink.

Kinda nice to have some quiet, apart from that flood. Of course, now that I've said it, there's gonna be some catastrophe and everyone'll start pointing fingers about me jinxing it, but still. Gotta admit, it's nice.

For any of the new people, my name's Commander Charles Tucker the Third, but everyone calls me Trip. I'm the Chief Engineer on board the starship Enterprise - not Jim's, the NX-01, the original one - and here I'm a warden and the head of maintenance and repair.

Anyone up for another movie night sometime this week? I'm kinda in the mood for somethin' like a thriller, but I can probably be talked out of it if that's not what everyone else's in the mood for.

[Private to Preston]

John Preston? Trip Tucker. We should probably talk.

[Private to T'Pol]

Four inmates in five months. Must be some kinda record. How're you doin'?

[Private to Kay]

I've got a couple questions for you, if you're not busy.

[Private to Jim]

I've got a couple ideas for the new lock.

Two of my inmates - Deadpool and Ray - both said that some stuff from my universe's part of a TV show called Star Trek and it kinda made me start thinkin' about some stuff. We've got a lot of people who's lives are apparently documented in movies and books and stuff in other universes, and some of us have access to 'em and some of us don't.

So, I was wonderin', If in some other universe, there was a movie about your life or a TV show or something, that's pretty much exactly accurate and therefore kinda weird for other people to just... have access to, would you want to watch it?

I know this is kinda a subject some people get annoyed with when it comes up, since we've got a lotta people here who apparently are in movies or comic books in other universes, and I just wanna be clear that I'm not tryin' to ask questions about that or questionin' who's "real" and whose not, I'm just honestly curious if anyone'd want to see their life on screen or not.

[Private to the Admiral]

I'd like copies of the TV show or book series or movie or comic books or whatever that've been made about me in other universes.

I know thing've probably settled down and everything, but if anyone needs any more help with damage control? I'd be happy to help out in any way I can.

And, on a completely unrelated note, on a scale of one to ten, how typical is it exactly ta be runnin' into fictional characters around here?

[Private to Will Graham]

How'd you make out?,

I’ve seen a lotta weird stuff in my time on Enterprise, but the Barge might just take the cake. This isn’t really anything like I’d expected it to be. Of course, I’m not really sure what I did expect it to be, but this sure isn’t it. It’s definitely gonna take some gettin’ used to, but I guess I don’t have a lotta choice or anything. I’m not sure the Admiral’d appreciate me chickening out only a coupla days in, and I’m definitely not plannin’ on throwin’ in the towel anyways. I’ve got a deal ta follow through on.

[...]

Funny thing is, now that I think about it, I don’t really remember actually makin’ the deal. Or more like, I don’t remember meetin’ the Admiral. I know why I’m here, I’m just not quite sure how it happened. Is that normal?

Anyways. I'm Commander Charles Tucker, former Chief Engineer on board the starship Enterprise. Everyone calls me Trip.

... I don't suppose there's any chance of getting to check out the engines on this thing?
